Police: Allentown Pair Nabbed In Dual Gas Station, Grocery Store Robberies

Police in Allentown have arrested two people they say were involved in back-to-back robberies at a local gas station and grocery store.

Carmelo Pardo, 37, and Iris Rodriguez, 43, are accused of committing a robbery at Sunoco on South 4th Street in Allentown around 5 a.m. on Jan. 28, police said.

The two then carried out a robbery at Jayden Grocery Store on South 8th Street around 8 a.m. the next day, police said.

A follow-up investigation identified Pardo and Rodriguez as the suspects, police said.

Both were arrested and charged with burglary, criminal conspiracy and theft. Pardo faces two counts of each as well as an additional charge for receiving stolen property, police said.
